2024 상반기 재정보고 - 주는 이도, 받는 이도 기뻤다.

작년 초, 내가 사역지에 발을 딛기 전, 현지의 재정 상태는 말 그대로 제로였다.

어떻게 이럴 수 있나, 교회와 사역이 대체 어떻게 돌아가나 싶었지만, 현지 목사님 가정과 몇 안되는 교회의 리더들이 그때 그때 조금씩 헌금을 하며 사역을 "유지"해 오고 있었다. 

그리고 2024년 8월 현재까지, 올해만 $25000에 가까운 헌금이 모였다. 

가족과 친구들, 그리고 모교회에서 보내준 소중한 헌금과 헌물들이 모였고, 또 거기에 맞추어 사역의 장이 넓혀졌다. 

 

나는 아무 것도 없이 그냥 왔는데, 내 주변으로부터 많은 사랑과 축복이 이곳에 부어지는걸 보면 참 신기하고 감사하다.

이 순간, 헌금을 주면서 오히려 미안해하고 고마워하던 얼굴들 하나 하나가 떠오른다. 소중한 마음으로 해준 귀한 헌금임을 알기에, 나도 이곳에서 선한 청지기로서의 본분을 다해야지 다짐하게 된다.

2024 First Half Financial Report 

At the beginning of last year, before I set foot in the mission field, the local financial situation was literally at zero. I wondered how the church and ministry could possibly function under such conditions, but a few leaders of the church, including the pastor’s family, managed to "maintain" the ministry by making small donations based on the needs.

 

And now, as of August 2024, nearly $25,000 has been raised this year alone. Contributions from family, friends, and my home church have been collected, and with these precious donations and offerings, the scope of the ministry has expanded significantly.

 

I came here with nothing, but witnessing so much love and blessing being poured out from those around me is truly amazing, and I am deeply grateful. At this moment, I recall the faces of those who felt both sorry and grateful while giving their offerings. Knowing that these offerings were given with such a precious and sincere heart, I am determined to fulfill my duties as a good steward here.
